| LINE-UP INCLUDES LEADING EUROPEAN TEAMS |
On 7 March 2009, the Ahoy’ complex in Rotterdam will once again host the European Indoor Tractor Pulling Championship. As was the case in previous years, the event will be attended by a leading American competitor: Show No Mercy. Owner Bruce Slagh has every intention of literally raising the roof, so if you want to see the action make sure you order tickets now!

| INTER-TECHNO LAMBADA |
The line-up for this year's event is awesome and includes the Dutch Inter-Techno Lambada team, which is chomping at the bit to take on Show No Mercy. Willem, Gert and Wim Dingerink did extremely well during last year’s event. Inter-techno Lambada, which is powered by four JP1 Hemi V8s each producing 2000 HP, has so far secured two Dutch and two European titles. The team also won the Euro Cup, which covers a series of world-class competitions. An interesting snippet of information: the design of Inter-Techno Lambada’s is based on the previous version of Show No Mercy.

| POPEYE |
Last year’s European Superpull was dominated by the return of Popeye, which made an indelible impression on many. John van Alphen and his team have meanwhile given their machine a fresh coat of red paint; the same colour that adorned the first-ever Popeye, which left the shed in 1979. The team’s recent victory at a Dutch indoor competition in the 3.5-tonne class, during which Popeye was unbeaten, proved a real boost. This will be Popeye’s 31st appearance at the event!

| BUKKE BRUSE |
In the Pro Stocks category, all leading European teams will be present at Ahoy, including the Danish Bukke Bruse team, which surprisingly won last year’s European championships in Bryne, Norway. Not having won a single previous pull on the European circuit, Jacob Brondøm Jensen and Rasmus Blach managed to keep their Case International MX 170 ahead of the Finnish Valtra’s as well as several strong teams from the Netherlands. It just goes to prove how competitive this class is!

| RENY MISSION IMPOSSIBLE |
In the 950 kg Free Class, all eyes will be on Reny Mission Impossible. René Geerts saw his most fervent wish come true last year when he took the Dutch title in the 950 kg Free Class. Geerts certainly has the skills (he also won the European title in 2006) and the power (the V 12 Allison produces some 2000 HP) to take the title. However, the problem is getting all that power on the track without damaging the drive chain. Reny Mission Impossible has been a lot more reliable since its rear differential was fitted with new cogwheels (courtesy of the Challenger team). Nothing’s impossible!

| BANDIT |
The 3.5-tonne Free Class also promises to be a spectacular event. Having won the Dutch title in 2007, the Bandit team could only look on as the boys from Inter-Techno Lambada took the title in 2008. Determined to take back what they consider theirs, the Bandit team built a brand new tractor during the winter months, which will make its maiden pull in Rotterdam!

| ENTERTAINMENT |
Anyone attending the European Superpull at Ahoy will certainly get their money’s w orth. In addition to hair-raising competitions, the crowd will be treated to spectacular fireworks, a great laser show, and special show trucks. Just like last year, all seats provide an excellent view of the action. What’s more, all visitors are given free access to the exhibition hall alongside the Ahoy complex, allowing them to admire the mighty machines or partake in many other great activities. There’s also a Café Plaza where you can enjoy a drink or snack in relaxing surroundings.
