| Ballast Water Conference - Threat or Treat? |
Tuesday 8 and wednesday 9 November By the time of Europort 2011, expectations are that the Ballast Water Management Convention 2004 (BWMC) will be ratified. This means that from 2012 about 100,000 sea-going vessels have to comply with this Convention. Huge investments in ballast water have to be made accordingly. Europort has put this current topic on the agenda with this two-day conference. This free to visit conference is organised by the initiators of the North Sea Ballast Water Opportunity (BWO) project.
